Are you an avid runner? Do you run miles on a daily basis?

If you are running everyday please reconsider a different approach, that gives your body adequate rest days for healing. Daily running is too hard on your joints, and may lead to injury.
Avid runners are most prone to stress fractures and other injuries of the foot and ankle from overuse syndrome. Overuse syndrome is the repetitive nature of doing something over and over again without adequate rest for healing.
The best ways to prevent this problem are to:
Wear proper running shoes that have adequate foot and ankle support.
Be sure to give the body adequate rest breaks for healing
Don’t run on sidewalks because it doesn’t give to the compression from the impact of the feet, causing excess stress at the foot and ankle.
Strengthen up the ankle and foot stability muscles.
