Are you squatting the right way?

If not, you will start to develop chronic or overuse knee injury over time.

Squatting is a multi-joint movement exercise that utilizes your legs, back, and core tremendously. The squat works out your entire body. If not conducted properly, the body is at risk of injury.

The proper squat technique:

  1. Feet shoulder width apart

  2. Feet turned 20-30 degrees outward

  3. Take a deep breath in then lower yourself

  4. Hold your abs tight and keep a slight curve in your back

  5. During the squat push your knees out towards your feet ( don’t allow them to buckle in)

  6. Just go slightly below 90 degrees

  7. Then exhale air during elevation back to standing position

lock out your knees and hip at the top
