Last night was amazing; I really enjoyed myself. Although it was intense and short lasting, it was really

worth it.
Sitting here reminiscing about the 30 minute coaching call last night and how inspirational it was!
One of my client’s is working hard to lose weight, stabilize her blood sugar levels, decrease her blood pressure and reduce her high cholesterol. May sound impossible, but actually very accomplishable I must say.
During the coaching call, she asked me what to eat for dinner and insisted that she eat spaghetti. I asked her what type of noodles she usually uses; she stated, “White noodles”. I explained why white noodles are not the idea choice for her and recommended whole grain noodles. Then I taught her a thing a two about reading labels prior to purchasing or cooking. During this review of both noodle labels she realized the significant difference in carbs: White noodles around 40g and whole wheat noodles around 12g.
Question: Does anyone know why whole grain noodles are best for diabetics?
The whole grain products are digested slower, causing a less effect on the blood glucose levels. In other words, blood sugar levels doesn’t spike up like it does with white noodles, white break and white potatoes with whole grain foods.
When is the best time to eat carbs?
I recommend eating all your cars before 12pm noon. This allows your body time to utilize the carbs for energy throughout the day while your metabolism is up, because after a certain time your body start winding down and stop burning as much carbs!
Suggestions: Eat daily to stabilize blood levels
Eat whole grain food
No white bread, rice, or noodles
Eat carbs before 12 pm
Eat 6-8 servings of green vegetables daily
Drink 6-8 cups of water
